About this Book
The third translated and last volume of the honorable nahj al-balageh is a selsction of Alis (p.b.u.h) speeches and consist of part two or there of this honorable book, or the chapter on letters (bab al-kotob) and the chapter on advise (bab al-kotob).
In the chapter on letters, we see extraction from interesting and charming letters of several starting letters in the chapter:
N.1: A part of this dignitaries (p.b.u.h) letter to the people of konheh when that honoable person was heading from Madineh toBasrah for the battle of Jamal.
No. 2: A part of Alis (p.b.u.h) letter to the people after the capture of Basrah.
No.3: A section of Alis (p.b.u.h) letter to his own judge, shoraye ebn-e-Hares. The last two letters of this chapter no.75: A sectionof alis (p.b.u.h) letter to Abu-musa-Ashari in reply to his letter concerning (tahkim) -the judging of Alis (p.b.u.h) or Moaviyes government:-No.79: A part of his letters to his generals when he was in the position of chaliphate. A section on samples of councelling:
No. 1: In revdutions and corruptions be as a baby camel who doesn't have a strong hump to ride or an udder to milk.
No. 2: whoever folloes his greed becomes small and base. Whoever tells the people his problems and distresses accepts contempt and hardship for himself. And whomso ever lets his tongue rule him-says whatever comes to his lips-and makes his personality worthless and invaluable.
The last speeches of this chapter:
No.486: the worst sin, is these in thought small by the commiltor.
No.487: the creator accepted a pact from the ignorant, to collect knowledge, and accepted a part from the wise, to teach.
No. 488: A believer, who causes his religious brothers shame (or anger), he is the cause of them becoming distant.
